Nuclear Green Socks

NuclearSocks_Model.jpg

Yarn: Koigu KPPM in shade 822
Pattern: 60 st sock with 2x2 ribbed leg and instep
Needles: Size 2, Crystal Palace DPNs for one sock, Magic Loop for the other one

This is my 6th pair of handknit socks. Someday I will branch out and knit socks that are not either ribbed or stockinette. Really, it could happen.

cute socks!! i think ribbed socks are the most practical ones.

Stephanie:

Very nice. I was wondering about these - hadn't heard much for awhile. The next pair are going to be the Rib & Cable socks right? Those have some ribbing, but the cable puts them in a whole different category. I have yet to make a ribbed pair of socks - maybe the Harry Potter yarn will be ribbed socks. Hmmm.

Love them! Great colour!

New socks, just in time for September:)

I love the color!

Ooh, but why would you branch out when you're having so much fun with those?

Great color!

Cute! Nice photograph, too :)

ana:

Great socks! I love the color! Is magic loop like knitting on two circulars?

Of course it could happen ... I'm sure you can knit beautiful non-ribbed socks.

Nice! I still have yet to finish my second sock! Total SSS.

On a "FitToKnit" side note, did you just go shoe shopping? We wear the same size!

Very cute. I bet they will be warm and cozy!

Very cute. I just love that variegated green.

Adore the color. Fabulous!
Branch out girl, don't be afraid!

Totally cool lime green!

they look loverly, Diana! ;)

Nice socks! Your Baby Norgi is fantastic too. This is the perfect sweater for a baby boy IMO - so masculine but still cozy and fun.

kris:

yeah! love them! those colours are g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

love them! i still haven't branched out from stocking stitch socks...so i'm even further behind the eight ball than you. perhaps my next pair might be the ones.

Anna:

I think you should make running socks next. These turned out great!

all your FOs look amazing. These socks are no exception. are those new running shoes I spot on the side?

Those look so comfy, and they seem to fit you perfectly, too. Gorgeous color. :)

Your socks look great. What a cool color! You could easily add a little lace or a cable to your next pair. I think #7 are the pair of socks that dare to be different! ;-)

Diana, I'm super behind on reading, but all your knits are so beautiful! The socks are the perfect color, and I'm so proud of your fair isle, steeking, and finishing on the baby sweater!

I dub thee master of your knitting universe!

Dani:

Love them! They fit your feet perfectly :)

i really like the toe on these socks. where did you get the pattern for it? i'm working on some socks right now and would love to learn a new technique!

beth:

ooooooo, I like that color a lot. Oh wait, let me guess, you like green right? Knit some lace socks!

Great socks. !!!
